Albums

Time Machine

The album title alludes to the fact this record was made with a concerted effort to keep things old school and the production was undertaken using analogue tools to emulate the same techniques that were used for the funk greats that influenced the record like George Clinton, Funkadelic, Curtis Mayfield and of course the aforementioned Godfather Of Soul.
The Freaks have dedicated the album to the memory of their friend Jon H (of Fort Knox Five) who sadly passed away in 2015 whilst the record was being written.

Funk From The Trunk

Basement Freaks attempt to redress the balance with their second studio album Funk From The Trunk which shows the boys in full P-Funk flow.Producer George Fotiadis won a lot of fans as a leader of the burgeoning ghetto funk scene and while that scene is still big internationally, there are no wobble bass lines here, just block rocking hip hop beats, funky wah wah guitars  and funky as flip vocals from longtime collaborator and fellow Freak Georges Perin as well as guest spots from Mustafa Akbar of Nappy Riddem, Charlie Funk and MC Rayna.

Something Freaky

George has been killing it for the last few years on some of the world hottest labels dropping breakbeat science for nu-funk scene leader GoodGroove , US funk breaks outpost Funk Weapons (run by All Good Funk Alliance) and Smoove’s Wack Records as well as  Washington DC’s ESL,  Austria’s Innvision, San Francisco’s Aniligital, Breakbeat Paradise and hot newcomer Manmade. On top of this his Bombastic Jam label is one of the most sought after labels on Beatport & Juno.

Urban Jungle

a concept album which penetrates in a unique way the city rhythms and imprints the sounds of urban Jungle, from the personal viewpoint of Basement Freaks. An album with freestyle attitude which unfolds through the absolute funky beats, afro and latin grooves, bossa and jazzy elements and all this put together using dub techniques.
